Transmigrating to Before the Big Boss Blackened - Chapter 1
“We’re still students, y-you shouldn’t do this.”
Near dusk, the sun was warm and the air was slightly smoky. The soft sunlight enveloped the headboard of the bed in orange and the wind quietly swept in through the half opened window.
On the bed, she had one hand on the boy’s uniform and the other pulling on the zipper of his pants. His shirt’s buttons were completely undone, revealing a small edge of his black underwear.
He was a little resistant, with pretty deer eyes that were helpless and shy.
Shi Mu retracted her hand in a shock and carefully stepped back.
This was a love hotel. Behind her, the pink heart-shaped bed was sprinkled with roses, the orange light was still on, giving the room a tinge of scandalous purple. Shi Mu felt something in her mouth. Spitting it out, it was a small blue square packet, one corner already ripped open and on it displaying the word “Durex”.
Her mind went blank.
The teenager who was glad to escape nearly being eaten seemed relieved, his hands fumbled to zip up his uniform. From head to toe he made sure he was covered, then turned around to fix his pants
He was still a boy in his teens and didn’t know how to suppress his biological reactions. The bump in his pants made him blush to his ears.
Fu YunRui pulled his uniform jacket down to cover his lower half, then carefully turned his head around.
“Shi Mu, do…do you still want to revise?”
The boy was still in puberty, his clean voice had a tinge of hoarseness, gentle and moving.
Shi Mu looked at him.
Fu YunRui was skinny and tall. He had pale skin, round eyes that were dark and bright, medium length raven hair, and a clean and harmless aura around him.
Her body trembled, snow white teeth bit her bottom lip, then ran out the door like she was escaping.
Fu YunRui was dumbstruck: “Hey…..”
Quickly picking up their backpacks he chased after her: “Shi Mu, your bag!”
Shi Mu didn’t look back: “I don’t want it anymore!”
He frowned. Before even stepping out the hotel, the cashier at the front desk stopped him: “Please check out first.”
Dusk was over and the sky was completely dark.
Street jammed with traffic and bustling crowds, the night scene was prosperous. Shi Mu walked the street alone, when she passed by a uniform shop and stopped.
Looking into the mirror, the girl in the reflection seemed to be about 16-17 years old. Around 163 cm (5’3) and hair plaited into dreads. Her still childish face was caked with thick makeup. Dressed in sexy shorts, her two stick straight legs were bared revealingly. She was the very image of a bad girl.
Looking at her face, she was confused. Has she really time-traveled?
Shi Mu was supposed to be 21 this year. After graduating from a prestigious university, her family suffered changes. Unable to bear the sudden blow of reality, Shi Mu became aimless and muddled. Afterwards, an accident caused her to lose her young life.
After death, Shi Mu still had her consciousness. Her soul wandered around aimlessly in the mortal realm, watching the hustle and bustle of people and the sunshine she could never feel again. Only then did she realize the beauty of life.
Unaware of how long this went on, a voice suddenly appeared. The voice said that it was from the Space-Time Administration who was in charge of managing dimensions whose ideologies and philosophies were twisted. If she was willing to accept a task, then she would be given the chance to live again. Shi Mu accepted.
She had thought it was just a dream, but then……
The voice rang out again.
[In three seconds we shall import memories into the host.]
[1, 2, 3……Memories imported.]
Her brain briefly hurt, then various images started flashing before her eyes.
The new body was the same age and gender as her, just passed 17. Shi Mu‘s father was a Hmong. According to legends, Hmong women were powerful wizards excelling in creating Gu* poison, controlling corpses, talismans, and expelling ghosts; there was nothing they can’t do. But along with the passing of time, everything slowly disappeared and became only a legend.
The day Shi Mu was born, flowers within ten miles withered, the heavy rain lasted for half a month, there was not a single clear day. Her twin brother was taken to the ICU the moment he was born whereas Shi Mu was peaceful and energetic. After being revived, her brother’s health was poor and his bones were weak. Shi Mu’s grandpa thought this was strange and had rushed to them all the way from Miao Jiang*. With one look, he knew Shi Mu was different.
The female infant was born with black magic. In the stomach, she had been sucking her brother’s life to maintain her own. Because of this, Shi Li’s health worsened day by day.
Aside from this, the little baby inherited her ancestors’ legendary ability; she was able to see things mortal humans could not.
Naturally, she could not be allowed to continue living with her brother, hence her grandpa offered to raise Shi Mu. Afraid of their daughter, the young couple quickly agreed. One year later, they had another beautiful daughter and completely forgot about Shi Mu in the back of their minds.
Even without the company of her parents, she lived a happy, fulfilling life with her grandfather.
In order to suppress the Gu worms in her body, the old man specifically drew a talisman for her to wear on her body and taught her the art of exorcism.
Last year, when her grandpa passed away, Shi Mu finally returned to her parents.
Life in the city was very hard to adapt. Her classmates often looked down on her and called her a ‘hillbilly’. At home, she had her overachieving brother and sister put pressure on her. Whenever Shi Mu made a mistake, her parents would compare her to her siblings.
Shi Mu lived with her grandpa since she was a child, so there were only a handful of times that she saw her parents. As a result, she completely broke down. She began skipping classes, fighting, and made friends with gangsters.
Just yesterday she was fighting her classmate, wanting to mess with Fu YunRui and used revising as an excuse to lure him to the hotel.
Shi Mu froze.
Isn’t, isn’t this the plot of <The Dark Night>!?
<The Dark Night> is a suspenseful and intense horror comic about a male protagonist who solves crimes, defeats the villain, and finally wins love.
The comic’s art style was charming and the plot intriguing. Each female character is prettier than the other. Back then, the person who recommended this to her comic said that she would enjoy it. She later found out that she was donkeyed*. It was because the female villain in the story had the exact same name and surname as her.
The female villain had a captivating aura, a big chest, and thin waist. Every man that met her wanted to have a ‘late-night chat’ with her. But what these men didn’t know was that they were the medicine that maintained the female villain’s life and beauty……
Afterwards, the female villain fell in love with the male protagonist’s mortal enemy Fu Yun Shen. But who knew that Fu YunShen did not cave to her seduction at all? The female villain, who was humiliated, was unsatisfied and took revenge by killing his twin brother Fu YunRui.
Thinking about the female villain’s miserable ending, Shi Mu shuddered.
“You, you didn’t tell me I would come here, are you messing with me?”
Currently, she was still young. However, in a few years time, when her body completely matured, men would be crazily attracted to her.
The system firmly said: [Isn’t this better than being a lonely ghost?]
She would rather be a lonely ghost.
“Can, can I change my mind?”
Shi Mu let out a relieved breath.
The system spoke again: [According to article 888 of the contract, if the host voluntarily breaches the contract, they will explode to death and their soul shall never be able to reincarnate.]
It said satisfiedly: [I am not being unreasonable, you can choose which of the two following missions to complete.]
[One: Make the big boss Fu YunShen fall for you, live and die for you, and be willing to hit a wall for you.]
Shi Mu frowned: “And two?”
[Two: Become good friends with Fu YunShen and hand in hand, walk a just and right path.]
Shi Mu didn’t hesitate: “I choose 2.”
[Are you sure you’ve made up your mind?
Shi Mu’s face was firm: “2.”
In the story, the female villain always acted coquettish, which did not click with Fu YunShen. Shi Mu didn’t think she could seduce him. And what’s more……..if she remembered correctly, Fu YunShen had some sort of mental disorder and didn’t like contact with girls
[Congratulations for accepting a mission. Wishing you success~]
“Wait.” Shi Mu said, “What is considered as succeeding the mission?”
[You can check it on the mission panel.]
A blue light flashed and some words floated on it.
Main mission: Become bros with Fu YunShen, and kowtow to become sworn brothers*.
Current ”bro’ points: 0.
Only when points reach one million is the mission complete.
……This sounds really difficult.
She wrinkled her nose and scratched her messy hair.
On the unfamiliar street, a black sedan suddenly pulled up beside her and the window slid down, revealing a delicate smiling face.
The young man’s voice was cold with a tone of indifference that was difficult to detect.
Shi Mu looked over, dazed.
Shi Li, her twin brother.
The driver opened the door for her.
She bit her lips and slowly got in.
The car drove into the sea of cars. Inside the car was silent. Shi Mu’s hands were flat on her thighs and she glanced at the boy beside her with the corner of her eyes.
Shi Li was weak and thin. Eyes cold and clear.
Sensing her, the young man turned around.
After a few seconds of eye contact, his eyes gleamed with a hint of mockery: “I heard you went to a hotel with someone?”
Shi Mu was dumbstruck, how did you know??
“Who told you that?”
Shi Li sneered: “The news has already spread to home, it’s hard not to know.”
He just said, the news spread to where???
1.) ‘Gu’ / 蛊毒 poison is a legendary chinese poison made by forcing snakes, scorpions, toads, spiders, and centipedes to fight until one remains and sucks all the poison from the other ones. Originating from south China, it is believed to be a common practice of black magic, especially by women/sorceresses.
2.) Miao Jiang /苗疆 : an area in southern China where many Hmongs live. It includes provinces such as Yun Nan where it is often rumored to have black magic practices and cases of people dying from Gu poison.
3.) Donkeyed /被驴了 : Basically a saying in China that ‘to be kicked in the head by a donkey’ you become stupid so here the author is just using it as a verb to describe Shi Mu being fooled by her friend XD
4.) Kowtow to become sworn brothers / 结拜 ： The phrase itself: kowtowing to become sworn brothers though not related by blood. It first started in classic Chinese novel ‘War of Three Kingdoms’ where the three male leads who were not related kowtowed become brothers forever.
