Both men have identical physical features. But in terms of their temperaments, they were as different as night and day. His jet black hair and eyes, lend him a serious demeanour. His tensed face is devoid of any expressions.

Compared to his description in the novel, the Lu Yunbo standing before Shen Yi is more majestic and ruthless in the manner he carried himself. It has the effect of derailing others away from him. His cold blank eyes and slender body which is always drabbed in a military uniform with his top button neatly fastened is evidence of a man who is in perfect control over his needs and desires.

He almost like a monk. How can he ever be seduced? Even drugs may not work on him. Moreover, he is not Lu Yihan, how do you spike him with drugs? Getting near him is another problem altogether.

The bustling dining hall is replaced with cold silence the moment Uncle Cao proclaimed, “The Prince has arrived.”

The chefs instantly clamped shut their mouth, lowered their heads, and quickly scurried away from the room.

I also wanted to leave! If Lu Yihan is considered as troublesome, the man before him is the devil incarnate! Anyone will tremble before him and he is clearly someone who dislikes physical contact. So how could I conceive his child? Might as well just save the trouble and wait for my timely death!

When he realised that he was sitting in Lu Yunbo’s seat, Shen Yi leaped out from the chair. He only dared to take that seat because Lu Yunbo is rarely home.

When Uncle Cao took his place next to Lu Yunbo, Shen Yi started flustering. Would he inform Lu Yunbo about the incident that took place the other night?

Lu Yunbo is the type who wouldn’t even offer you the chance to explain or defend yourself. And if he decides to kill you, there’s a likelihood you won’t even know the reason why you’re killed.

This is exactly what happened in the novel. The original Shen Yi didn’t feel threatened because he thought that Lu Yunbo didn’t care about the pregnancy and he was safe because he was a member of the Shen family. Even after Lu Yunbo discovered the pregnancy, he didn’t utter a single word to Shen Yi nor did he question him about it.

His response led the original Shen Yi to believe that he managed to escape a calamity. But Shen Yi was like a lamb to the slaughter. When he was about to give birth, Lu Yunbo, transferred away all the medical staff that was around him. In an age with superior advancement in the medical field, the original Shen Yi died from child labour complications. This was Lu Yunbo’s revenge on him.

I won’t accept any of your explanations or apologies. Instead, I will use my own method to punish you!

Shen Yi felt shivers down his spine.

What does Lu Yunbo know? Is he aware of the nonsense posted by Cui Hao or did Uncle Cao inform him about Lu Yihan? What method will Lu Yunbo use to deal with him?

Shen Yi felt nothing but fear. Lu Yunbo was known to be indecipherable and a man who likes to keep his thoughts to himself.

When he was flipping through the novel, Shen Yi admired Lu Yunbo for his decisive way. He was a man who doesn’t bend to his own emotions. Shen Yi has always found these traits in men attractive. This is because these were the same traits that Shen Yi could relate to as he was an accomplished man who leaves his peers feeling inferior in his original world.

In Shen Yi’s opinion, Lu Yunbo should be placed on a pedestal only to be worshiped and admired from afar. But this very man has now become his husband. Shen Yi can only think of one word to describe his current feeling, fear!

Shen Yi stood next to his previous seat and calmly said, “You’re back?”

Lu Yunbo raised his head and stared expressionlessly at him. Shen Yi couldn’t gauge Lu Yunbo’s feelings at all.

Since I am unable to guess, I can only embrace my fate.

“Would you like to eat?” Shen Yi gestured Lu Yunbo to join him at the dining table.

If I don’t want to die a miserable death, I can only get as close to him as possible. Even if I can’t get him to fall in love with me, at the very least I need Lu Yunbo to realise that I still have some worth to him. I’m not asking for much, only that I’m allowed an opportunity to explain myself when the time comes.

Lu Yunbo handed his hat to Uncle Cao. He waved his hand and in a blink of the eye, his entourage who were following closely behind him immediately dispersed. He took a few steps forward, which caused Shen Yi to instinctively retreat a few steps back. Shen Yi could feel the cold air that enveloped Lu Yunbo.

He took a seat on the chair, ignoring the fact that it was previously occupied by Shen Yi. Uncle Cao without glancing at Lu Yunbo, promptly ordered, “Bring over another bowl and a pair of chopsticks.”

With her head facing the ground, the maid hurriedly set down on the table a set of clean utensils. Lu Yunbo held the chopsticks and started eating. As expected from a prince, his every movement is irresistible and elegant. As he quietly ate, he observed every dish in detail and didn’t express any intention to converse at all.

Shen Yi slowly walked towards Lu Yunbo, who turned around and frowned. He clearly dislikes being approached by other people. He used the chopsticks in his hand and pointed it at Shen Yi as if to warn the other to stay back.

Shen Yi felt his legs growing weak. He pouted and said, “My dish and chopstick are still there.”

When he heard Shen Yi’s words, he raised his eyebrows and stared at him. Shen Yi avoided his gaze, quickly stretch his hands out, and grabbed the utensils that were pushed aside by Lu Yunbo.

He then took a seat next to Lu Yunbo and they ate in utter silence. The dining hall that heated in conversations only a while ago, was chillingly quiet. Lu Yunbo ate quickly while Shen Yi who had eaten halfway before Lu Yunbo’s arrival ate only at a slightly slower pace.

The moment Lu Yunbo finished his meal, a maid brought over some water for him to wash his hands and mouth together with towels. When he finished, he stood up from his chair.

Shen Yi quickly got up from his seat and said, “I’ve something I need to talk to you about.”

Lu Yunbo gazed at Shen Yi. “Talk.”

His voice is identical to Lu Yihan’s. However, when Lu Yihan spoke, his tone appears arrogant and yet, magnanimous at the same time. It has the effect of causing his audience to feel conflicted and ashamed as if they were wasting his time.

But Lu Yunbo’s tone is different. Every word that came out of his mouth is like a block of ice, causing those who were listening to him, to inexplicably feel a cold chill surrounding them.

Lu Yunbo without turning his attention away from Shen Yi said, “Uncle Cao, withdraw.”

Uncle Cao looked at Lu Yunbo as if seeking confirmation. Lu Yunbo nodded in affirmation.

Uncle Cao waved his hand and the personnel in charge of serving them hastily left the two of them alone. The ambiance in the dining hall turned from cold to awkward in a second.

Lu Yunbo remained standing at his previous spot, his tall, slender figure wrapped in a cold and imposing temperament.

Shen Yi took a long, deep breath before he started talking. “You…. Don’t you want to change the current situation?”

Lu Yunbo’s face didn’t disclose any change in his expression. Only his deep dark eyes glared coldly at Shen Yi.

Shen Yi said, “The only reason we got married is that both the Lu and Shen families need a child. As long as a child is born, we are able to divorce and be free from one another.”

Lu Yunbo in a chilling tone replied, “So?”
