I am a Good Man Chapter 18 Part 1
“One million, go away with the kid!” Ji Wei said viciously.
He had been recently burdened with journalists and paparazzi. Seeing Ning Wen coming with her baby, he immediately pulled her into the room.
This child was a tool to get revenge against Ji Yang. How could he raise the child?
“One million, are you giving alms to a beggar?” Ning Wen sneered and rolled her eyes, “Now I’m carrying all the bad reputation, and you will only give me one million?”
“You didn’t think that before, did I force you?” Ji Wei fought back. He was not easy to bully. Before, he and Ning Wen hit it off. This woman also wasn’t a good person.
“Our child doesn’t have a father now,” Ning Wen said slowly.
As soon as these words came out, Ji Wei’s face was gloomy and cold and his eyes flashed with murderous intention.
Everyone was waiting to prove that the child is his, then he would become a complete joke.
No, he wouldn’t let that kind of situation happen.
“How much do you want?” Ji Wei gritted his teeth.
“Sixty million, not a bit less,” Ning Wen demanded an exorbitant price. She gestured, “I will immediately take the child away and will never appear in this city.”
She was already at the end of her rope. Ji Wei was her last hope.
Then she would firmly take a lot of money, leave, and give the child to someone or send him to an orphanage. What’s bad about her having money?
Later, she could marry in style.
“Are you dreaming?” Ji Wei raised his voice. He directly pinched her neck with one hand and his eyes were bloodthirsty, “Do you think I’m a fool? Ning Wen, you think too highly of yourself!”
“Cough, let go, let go…” Ning Wen’s feet slowly left the ground, kicking him. Her face was choked red and she gradually couldn’t breathe.
Ji Wei’s hatred surged and his hand unconsciously added strength, Ning Wen gradually lost strength and began to roll her eyes.
He tossed her aside like she was a lump of trash. His voice was cold, “This child might not be mine, who believes your words?”
From Ji Yang to Liu Yiqiang, and then to him?
It had come full circle.
It was as if Ning Wen had gained a new life. She had been paralyzed in place, recovered for a while, and then raised her head, “You know very well whether this child is yours or not.”
She dared to pledge that the child must be Ji Wei’s!
“Three million. If you don’t want it, you won’t get a cent,” he laid down cruel words.
“You!” Ning Wen naturally wanted it to be changed, but she recalled what happened a moment ago. Her heart was full of fear and she could only agree, “Ok!”
Three million was more than she could earn. She would sell the child.
Anyway, he was a boy.
“I don’t want to see you again. Leave tomorrow and the money will go to your card,” Ji Wei dropped these words and stopped looking at her.
“Ok, I’ll leave when I see the money!” Ning Wen hugged the child who was crying non-stop on the sofa, reluctantly putting on a mask to leave.
Three million is three million. She could buy a few apartments back in their small place. It wasn’t a waste of effort.
It was a pity that she couldn’t sleep with Ji Yang. It let off Zheng Jiayue lightly.
The same evening.
Zheng Jiayue sat cross-legged on the bed, on which lied a little baby. She lowered her head, sang songs, and kept nearing him.
The baby laughed happily. His hands and feet moved about and his small eyes were bent into a straight line.
“Hahaha.” Zheng Jiayue teased him, “Where is Cheng Cheng? Where is Cheng Cheng?” (1)
The little guy looked like Ji Yang. His skin was like hers. He was fair-skinned. Every time she looked at him, Zheng Jiayue’s heart felt soft. This is the child she had with the man she loved the most and he was the continuation of their bloodline.
“@#@￥#￥…” the little baby couldn’t speak, spat saliva out, and laughed so much that he had a double chin.
“He laughs constantly every day,” Ji Yang went to the bed with a feeding bottle, blocking the little guy’s sight. “Come, look at Dad, there’s milk to drink.”
The little guy was obviously not happy when he saw him. His small eyebrows furrowed into caterpillars and he pulled his mouth. He couldn’t see his mother at all.
“Then I’ll take a bath.” Zheng Jiayue came out from behind Ji Yang. She hugged him and kissed him, “Feed the baby all of it.”
“En,” Ji Yang nodded.
“@#￥…” when the little guy saw his mother, he shook his hands and showed his signature smile to give cuteness to his mother.
“The clothes are in the bathroom,” Ji Yang reminded.
“Ok. Thank you, A Yang,” Zheng Jiayue put on her shoes and went to the bathroom.
“Are you going to drink milk or not?” Ji Yang stared at the little guy. The other party was still looking at Zheng Jiayue’s back. He wanted to cry, but he didn’t cry. Hearing his voice, the child looked at him with a secret grudge.
Bad Dad, return my mother!
“Child prodigy,” Ji Yang put the baby bottle’s nipple into his mouth and couldn’t help laughing.
The little guy sucked twice and milk soon came out. At this time, he couldn’t complain about his father. He pretended to hold the bottle with both hands and sucked it with big gulps.
When Zheng Jiayue came out of the bath, the little guy had already closed his eyes. He moved his mouth every now and then. There was still some milk left that he hadn’t drunk.
“Ok, don’t drink anymore. The baby is asleep.” Zheng Jiayue quietly walked over and lowered her voice. When Ji Yang took away the feeding bottle, she bowed her head and kissed the child.
The milk was fragrant.
The little guy’s mouth moved twice. They didn’t know what he was dreaming about. His little mouth began to smile, stopped, then smiled even more.
Zheng Jiayue was infected by him. She carefully placed him in the crib and covered him with the quilt.
After that, she turned and went back to the bed.
Ji Yang was leaning on the headboard now, holding a tablet and was swiping it.
A trace of craftiness flashed through her eyes. She sat on his legs and crawled up his body. Ji Yang sensed her intention, stopped his hand movements, and his eyes fell on her.
“What are you looking at?” Zheng Jiayue also stopped and pretended to look at him innocently.
Ji Yang looked at the position she was in, swallowed his saliva, and his eyes become deeper. He loosened one hand and raised his eyebrows.
Zheng Jiayue smiled and crawled up a little more, lying in his arms.
Ji Yang hugged her with both hands and continued to tap open a web page.
It was a video. When Zheng Jiayue saw the title, she was slightly stunned.
“Our child doesn’t have a father now.”
“Are you dreaming? Do you think I’m a fool?”
“This child might not be mine…”
咯咯咯 (gegege) is an onomatopoeia for laughing/chuckling. I wrote it as “hahaha” to convey the meaning easily, even if you don’t read the T/N.
