“Do our best!? You’re not even taking this seriously are you!?”
Saeki seems angry at me because of what his principal told me.
“I don’t know what you mean. Excuse me.”
“Don’t run away you fake!”
“Shut up David, this is between me and him!”
There seems to be a big misunderstanding here, why would I take him seriously?
“Saeki, what happened? Why are you suddenly being rude to Nito?”
What’s with this guy and girl? Saeki abandoned me to a dungeon and then went on to make friends and live some comfortable school life? Hahahaha…. It makes me want to vomit.
I heard someone behind me try and calm Saeki.
“The match is in two days, stop.”
Kawachi was there, what’s with this farce? Who do these people think I am?
“Saeki, it’s rare for you to get so angry.”
Another summoned hero, what’s with them all being so weak that they can’t feel my magic power? Am I the only fool who decided to get stronger here?
“You need to understand there are things you can and can’t do. I understand your feelings but your attitude is over the top, don’t you know who he is?”
“I won’t be bossed around by someone who lost to me!”
“Sure, I lost to you but that doesn’t mean you’re amazing. You’re being immature.”
This is stupid, I want a drink. Thinking this I headed towards the entrance.
“Oh? If it isn’t Nito.”
A man appeared out of nowhere and the fight behind me suddenly stopped.
“Whats going on Saeki? Do you have some kind of grudge against Nito?”
Why is Saeki being quiet?
Kyogoku huh? Wasn’t he my opponent for the additional match?
“Oh? Is this the hero Nito’s party? They’re all so beautiful. Hey pretty lady, wanna have some fun with me?”
He grabbed Toa’s arm with his right and raised her chin up with his left.
In that instant, I hated him.
It was transmitted to my right hand.
“Gu! L…..le…..let go.”
My mind was blank and I was filled with hatred.
I had grabbed him by the throat and slammed him against the wall. I want to kill him, to not kill him was blasphemous to the abyss. If I didn’t kill him I’d be doubting the abyss, I have to kill him.
Someone called out.
But more importantly what should I do to him? I think just should take away those arms that he dared to touch Toa with. Then I can take out his eyes and get rid of that tongue so he can’t say that filth again. I held my hand over his arm, what is there to think about? I can just do what ever I want.
“First the arm.”
I was keeping him immobile with my grip on his neck.
“Nito stop it!”
A voice from behind me, I heard it clearly this time. It was Toas voice. I turned and saw Toa’s sad face, looking at her I was slowly able to regain my composure and see my surroundings. I’d cracked the wall so bad it was about to collapse.
“I’m ok, can you let him go?”
Let him go? But he touched Toa with those filthy hands if his and taunted me.
I threw him.
Toa yelled at me again.
“Sorry, my hand slipped….”
It’s true, I didn’t want to hurt him anymore because this is school. My arm just threw him all on its own.
Everything was quite, Saeki and his group just stood there staring at me. Their mouths were all hanging open, they looked stupid.
“Master….your eye is red.”
If my eye is red then doesn’t that mean I have to be faithful to the abyss? I can’t doubt it again. If I left now wouldn’t it be worse than doubt? I’d be going directly against it.
“Saeki, was it?”
I asked without looking at him and he suddenly Jersey backwards at my voice.
” lets both do out best in the match. I want to see how much power a summoned hero has.”
“That being said let me give you some advice.”
I looked at Saeki and his face cramped. He remained silent his mouth shut, what did he think I would kill him if he opened his mouth?
“Adventurers always travel expecting to die. I’m more generous than others, perhaps it comes with being a hero. But don’t misunderstand me.”
Let intimidate him a bit. My anger exploded out cracking the ground and walls, causing some of the students to lose their footing. I looked at the heros gathered there, I remembered them all well, and what they did to me. I turned my gaze back to Saeki.
“If this wasn’t a school, you’d already be dead. For adventurers there is no reason to keep someone who is hostile towards them alive.”
It’s not like I can’t kill him now. And I’m not going against the abyss by not killing him because my student life with my companions is important to me. As much as I want to kill them all right now I won’t.
“I say that but. Everyone! ”
I spread my arms and moved so I could see all their faces.
“Thank you so much for coming here for me! I didn’t think that everyone at Fishnatica would know me! Let’s meet again during the match! I will be sure to show you one filled with excitement and emotion with Saeki here! Well then..”
I turned and left with my companions and behind me a heard loud cheering a few moments after I’d disappeared. Are all the students just idiots?
“Yeah, that was Saeki. The main criminal who bullied me.”
I answered without hesitation, I wanted them to know the source of my anger.
“Is master going to fight him?”
“Are you going to kill him?”
“I won’t kill him. If I did that we’d have to leave school.”
When I said that Nem relaxed. But my will to not hesitate anymore was still the same, if I did it would they abandon me? They still turn their heads away when Francesca mentions Greyberg even though I haven’t told them the story. How long should I have to carry these feelings around? If I just did it I’m sure I wouldn’t have to feel this. Besides they would understand one day.
“I want to stay as a student for a while longer.”
When I said that I heard the sound of running behind me.
My blood ran cold, it wasn’t Toa, Nem or Sufilia. Who was it? I turned around and knew who it was instantly.
Saijo Kotori. My childhood friend.
