Grandma Su is a very conscious old lady. Although she was paralyzed, she wouldn’t trouble others so easily.

“Mom?” Fang Yalan looked at the small thing wrapped in a handkerchief in her hand, already knowing what was inside.
When she opened the handkerchief, there was a thick stack of banknotes. The largest denomination of them should be five yuan at most and several 5 fēn1 coins.
All of this money added up to a maximum of a hundred yuan. Looking at how much money there was, each of them knew that grandma worked hard to save it.
“Mom, we can’t take this money. We have our own money.” Fang Yalan wrapped it with the handkerchief again and was going to put it back under her mother-in-law’s pillow.
However, Grandma held onto Fang Yalan’s hand and said in a feigned unyielding tone, “Is it not enough for you? If not, just accept it. Take it as Mom’s token of appreciation for you. In the evening, Su Nuo and her older brother discussed the specifics of the plan. Their family was filled with hope and eagerness to try it out.
The weather on the next day was particularly good. When Su Nuo and Su Yang went out together, they both felt a hint of freshness in the air.
“Brother, the results of the exam are going to be released today. Even though it’s only the midterm exams, you have to buy me a popsicle if I get good grades.” Su Nuo spared no effort to act cutesy.
“Alright. If you get into the top ten in your class, I will buy you a semester’s worth of popsicles.” Su Yang conscientiously said.
Actually, Su Yang was aware of Su Nuo’s recent efforts in studying but he didn’t know if she could overcome the nervousness that usually caused students to make mistakes during the exams.
“Tut.” Su Nuo’s mouth flattened, “What is top ten of the class? I’m going to be the first in the class and probably the first in the whole year as well.”
“Then that would be too many popsicles.” Su Yang dotingly touched Su Nuo’s hair. His sight fell on the orange hair tie used to tie Su Nuo’s hair, “This color looks good.”
“Hm, I like it a lot.” Su Nuo slightly blushed but she really liked it a lot.
